This was the Queen Victoria Market in downtown Melbourne. It was about a 5 min walk from my apt. What was so great about the market was that they had everything from clothing to fruits and veggies. The had a meat market, restaurants, bakeries, coffee houses, and so much more you name it they had it. I bought most of my stuff from there and that is one thing i miss the most is being able to go to the market and get fresh food. It was always busy and was only open till about 4 or 5 pm everyday. They were closed two days a week but i can't remember which days.
This was the view going to school everyday walking to down town passing the trams and going by the market. It was about a 15 to 20 min walk about 2 miles maybe a little less. The weather wasn't ever to to bad to walk and it made it easy to get back and forth. One nice thing about coming back is that my new apartment in greensboro is close enough to school that i can still walk!
This was Melbourne central it had the Big W aka Walmart and the supermarket and a bunch of food places to eat really cool place and right next to school on Swanston street. It also had some shops for clothes and a workout center as well as the medicare doctor office.
